Evaluation of the Business Financial Situation through Economic IS Appropriate Selected and Proposals to its Improvement

This bachelor thesis deals with the acquisition of perspective about the financial situation of the company ABC s. r. o. through a properly selected economic information system. To assess the financial situation of the company are used methods of financial analysis described in the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis. Part of content bachelor thesis are also proposals not only from the choice of optimal economic information system, but also proposals to improve the company's current position based on the results obtained by calculating the selected indicators of financial analysis, not only from within environments the newly designed economic information system.

Bachelor thesis titled "Financial analysis of Bemett corporation" consists of a theoretical part, which explains the methods of financial analysis used in this work, including: vertical and horizontal analysis, balance sheet rules, differential indicators, economic standard, ratio indicators, pyramidal decomposition, the calculation of the effects of sub-indicators at the top, the value indicators, bankruptcy and financial standing models and comparison with industry or a competitor and a practical part in which different methods are applied to the selected company Bemett.

Financial analysis

Goal of this Bachelor's thesis about financial analysis is to introduce the issues of analysis to the reader and subsequently do one on the selected business. The aim of the company analysis is to evaluate its development over the years, check its current status and make an own evaluation as well as provide insights of the company and its functioning. The first part of the work will focus on the theory of financial analysis, its relevance, potential users as well as methods and resources for its creation. The theoretical part will be complemented by information about the company PREFA Sučany, JSC, which is, for purposes of this thesis, the analyzed company. In the second part, the practical one, by using the mentioned methodological apparatus the financial analysis of the company will be performed from 2005 - 2010 according to the published results by the management of the company. Finally, the conclusion will summarize all the information from the analysis and create possible conclusions about the operations of the company.

Forming of returns, costs and trading incomes

The companies should not focuse only on the highest surplus. It is also important to elevate the value of the company. It is important to work out the financial analyses, so that the holders can learn the facts about the company. The financial analyses and the analyses of the particular costs, returns and income from operations are the subject matter of this thesis. In the financial analyses were calculated the traditional economic indicators ROE (return of equity), ROA (return on assets) and ROS (return on sales) for particular years of the period of 2003-2008, and they were compared with values of financial indicants in these years in the line of business. Next, the modern economic indicator EVA (economic value addend) was calculated for the period of 2003-2008.
